Question 1

Is Ezra enough for homeschooling where I live?

Accepted Answer

Homeschooling rules are different in every state and province. In Canada and in some states a family may use its own curriculum; in other places a program has to be registered or approved. Check your state or provincial homeschooling regulations to see whether Ezra is adequate for your family on its own, or use it as a supplement alongside your registered program. Ezra is not accredited and we cannot give legal advice. The strands and skills do follow the standard scope for each grade, so nothing is skipped.

Question 2

Which Bible translation do you use?

Accepted Answer

The Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a modern public-domain translation, quoted word for word and read aloud.

Question 3

Is it a game?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no video games, no characters and nothing designed to keep a child on the screen. Practice is hands-on: dragging, sorting, shading, placing and choosing.

Question 4

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Two complete lesson sections are free. The Family plan is $15 USD a month at a special introductory price (normally $19) for all content, for up to six children in one household.

Question 5

Why no science?

Accepted Answer

We could not find a way to teach science that we were willing to put in front of our children without a parent beside them, so we leave it to the family and the church.
